No VPN Required

• GoPDM is designed with FTP and Database layers to provide LAN and WAN access directly to the system with no VPN setup required.
  

Open Servers

• The server is compatible with nearly all ftp server software in addition to the open-source Firebird database on most Operating Systems.
  

Multiple Server Profiles

• GoPDM includes Profiles which allow you to save the settings to connect to multiple GoPDM servers, selectable at launch. Now you can separate your primary data management from your vendor data management. You can keep your concepts in a discrete vault to prevent overlapping with production. Work Faster, Not Harder

Work How You Already Do

• Any folder you can browse to with Windows can be added as a GoPDM Desk. This allows you to work how you want and where you want without your PDM getting in the way. GoPDM does not even need to be open in order to capture changes made to files within Desk folders. Changes will be detected the next time you run GoPDM.
  

Intelligent Desk Detection

• GoPDM has intelligence built in to detect available vs. unavailable desks. If you are working on a laptop from home and a desk is on the server at the office, it will prevent access to that desk until you are reconnected.
  

Work Disconnected

• Laptop users will also appreciate the ability to work with and access locally stored Desks without needing to connect or login to the server.
  

Edit File Properties

• Quickly and conveniently edit Revison, Description, and Release States on multiple files with one-click in a Desk.

File Locking

File Linking

• Any file can be linked to any other file with full recursion. This provides incredibly fast Check Out of related project or common library files. Recursion allows a top-level assembly to only have it's sub-assemblies link and still check out the files linked to the sub-assembly.
  

Promote Files

• With appropriate permissions, users can promote modified older versions of files to the latest file upon Check In.
  

Multi-Level File Display

• Easily toggle a multi-level file display to allow expanding each file in the display to show all Versions, Linked Files, and Where Used (Files linked to it).
  

Search

• From one dialog, search File Name, User, Description, and Release State. Quickly toggle between the latest version and all versions.

Permissions Levels

• Quickly create unlimited Permission Levels. These are combinations of permissions for Check In, Check Out, Move File, Link File, Manage Folders, etc.

Permissions Per Folder

• Apply any Permission Level to any User Group per folder. All permissions are recursive to sub-folders unless an overriding permission exists for the sub-folder.
  

Revision and Release State Admin

• Need to change your revision or release schemes? No problem. All existing files will retain their current settings while new files will utilize the new scheme.

File Locks Admin

• No longer do you need to worry about someone leaving for vacation with files locked. Administrators can use this tool to revoke the locks of users if needed.
  

Purge Server Files

• Purge project folders from the right-click menu on the main folder display using easily configurable settings such Keep # of Each Revision. Convenient Export Before Purge option to save files to a backup location before removing them from GoPDM. You can also pre-select specific project files to purge.
